Dell Computer Monitor

MODEL MAKING

Make a 1:2 scale model of a Dell Computer Monitor by measuring all the parts of the monitor and halving them. Use the materials provided (in this case, Kingspan foam, urethane and foam-x)

FORM

DESIGN STUDIO

Create a table top object that has an air intake and air outlet. The form can be anything that you can imagine as long as it has these two features. Take your inspiration from concept designs in other fields; automobile design, boat design...

Chain Reaction

DESIGN STUDIO

In teams of 3 or 4, explore through sketching and prototyping, a diversity of methods, of transferring energy through 800mm squared of space (cube) per group. Each design solution must consist of at least 2 system mechanism per student. The start point of the energy transfer must begin at the middle of one side of the cube and exit on the opposite side at a height of 400mm. The transfer of energy must be seemless from one to the other when all design solutions are placed side-by-side.
